The
turning away
We
are all influenced by the experiences we have lived through in our lives. Good
and bad they have shaped and molded us into the person we are today. This
experience is the foundation of who we are, what we think, and how we perceive
the events that happen to us, and around us each day. We have all been lied to,
cheated, humiliated, and experienced other negative events. We look to our past
to give us insights on how to deal with the situations we encounter today.
Imagine
yourself living in a town, a really strange backwater village. The town
consists of innumerable people, has a multitude of religious organizations, a
candy shop, and a bar. The only work in town is at a coal mine. That’s all
there is to do. One person owns all of the businesses in the town. An extremely
rich man he must be, because everything in this town is given freely. Needless
to say, all of the churches are full, people gathering to socialize many times
during the week. The bar is usually full of people. The candy shop is the big
hit though.
What
a variety of religious organizations there are, Catholic, Protestant, Judaic,
You name it, the town has it. The people gather together in fellowship
learning, sharing gossip and food. What a wonderful time to be had by all. The
only real drawback is when the congregation leader plays the violin and
requests more money for the cause. Pass the plate! Man that preacher gets
around, I bet you could have sworn you saw him at a different organization here
in town. The message is pretty much the same in any case.
The
customers at the bar are having a wonderful time telling jokes, drowning their
misery in shallow conversation. What a life, all the booze they can drink. They
can’t wait to get off work from the drudgery of the coal mine, so they can get
drunk and meet with their friends. The bartender sure looks familiar, isn’t he
the candy storeowner too?
The
wonderful thing about the candy shop is that these treats are free, gratis, no
charge. What a great way to keep your customers coming back for more. Like kids
in a candy store the people run about looking for tastier treats, never
satisfied, always searching for something better. Do they stop to really look
at the candy storeowner? If they would pause from their self-satisfying binges
and glutton hunting, and really look at this evil “deliverer of the goods” they
would probably think about what they were doing.
Do
you remember when you were in the candy store, the bar, or the religious
organizations? Did you eat so much candy it made you sick, so sick you didn’t
want to eat any more? Or did you drink so much liquor that you finally figured
out that drowning yourself in alcohol wasn’t making your problems go away? Or
did you finally come to the realization that all of these religious leaders
were teaching things that didn’t make sense and you were tired of hearing the
same old call for money?
Finally
you called your Father in the next state and he sent your big brother to come
and get you. He chastised you for your lack of good sense and gave you a love
filled lecture and asked you to pick up that dusty old book that has been lying
around the house and actually read it. Dad explained what some of it meant and
your older Brother helped you understand some of it too. The book gave you the
name of the owner of the town and showed you how evil he is. It showed the
futility of constantly searching for the better candy. It showed that all the
candy does is cause laziness, obesity, and blindness. It showed that drinking
problems away doesn’t make your life better. It also showed that the religious
institutes were creating doctrines to bring in the masses, and teaching man
made rituals and laws. You see all of this and know you don’t want to go back
to that miserable existence. Dad was right, we should listen to him and his
advise and study the book.
Look
back to the time when your eyes were opened to truth. Through fervent study and
a sincere longing for truth The Eternal allowed you to see through the fog that
has been cast upon the world. The illusions and delusions that power, greed,
and vanity are the keys to attaining happiness. How fortunate we are to be
allowed the knowledge of the existence of The Almighty Yah’weh Creator of all
that was, all that is, and all that shall be. While most of civilization rides
the roller coaster that the god of this world has created. We are able to see
there is more to life than simple pleasures which are fleeting, here one moment
gone the next.
Remember
the first falsities that were exposed to our eyes? X-mass, Easter. What a shock it was to learn that these
holidays were pagan and had nothing to do with honoring our Heavenly Father or
his Son. Or maybe it was Sabbath and Commandment keeping that The Eternal
showed us was being abused. He showed us how The First Born of the Father kept
the Sabbath and all of the rest of The Commandments. And he let us see how his
Son taught that man-made traditions were polluting The Almighty’s Commands.
What a shock it was to find out that the Babylonian Mystery Religion was alive
and well today and how it has survived for thousands of years using murder,
treachery, and deceit to maintain its hold on millions of people’s lives and
money. We were shown how modern Christian congregations in all of their forms,
are just daughters of the Mother Church. Our eyes were opened to the Babel
mystery of the trinity and how ludicrous and unscriptural it is. And now our
eyes are opened to more truth.
The
Scriptures we once thought were the inspired and infallible word of The Eternal
are CORRUPT! What????? How can this be? It can’t be! Why would The Almighty
Creator allow tampering with his Word?
What
are we to do now that we know this? I know! We read about what others have to
say about the apostolic writings. We find out that the authors of these books
are unknown, fragmented, and virtually undateable.
What
do we do now? We are at a crossroads; do we find the whole dilemna overwhelming
and come to the conclusion that there is no Creator and that we have been
living a huge fantastic lie? Do we accept the Tanakh as our one and only source
for our beliefs and throw out the apostolic writings and all that Yah’shua came
to teach? Or do we accept the fact that the Scriptures have been tampered with
and separate the wheat from the chaff?
Lets
look at this from the Adversarys perspective.
You
have been led by The Eternal to his truth; this has got to be aggravating to
the adversary. He knows that you are outside his grasp unless you deny the
faith you have in The Almighty. Hmmmm lets look at his nasty little trap for
us.
We
are in training here on Earth for future roles in the coming Kingdom Of
Yah’weh, we are required to have faith far beyond what we would ever have
thought possible. We are required to Love our Creator, and all mankind. We are
required to study and pray fervently and often, to prove ourselves worthy of
the positions we may be granted in the future Kingdom. Lets look at these and
figure out which is the easiest prey for the evil ones.
Love
is a wonderful state of being. Love can turn aside so much evil, our Scriptures
tell us how absolutely good Love is. The adversary doesn’t stand a chance here.
He knows the more you love The Eternal the harder his job is.
Prayer is a precious gift. The more often and fervently
we pray, the stronger we become as disciples of Yah’weh.
Study
is a must. Without study of Scriptures we have nothing. Study also includes
outside sources of information. Historical writings, religious writings,
commentaries, etc. are what we use to help us determine fact from fiction,
truth from lie. Unfortunately much of this information is based upon biased
interpretations of events and writings. We have to use our good judgment when
we read these sources of information.
Let’s
ask the question again, which of these is the weakest link. Study appears to be
the most obvious choice. Though we like to think of ourselves as unbiased and
unopinionated, this just isnt reality. We all have our opinions on subjects and
as a rule use past experience as our guide. We also can fall victim to well
written; yet biased and flawed material. How difficult is it for the adversary
to cast doubt, speculation, and negativity into our minds as we read articles,
and study materials?
Without
Love, Prayer, and Study we will slip back into the world that the adversary has
created. If we are lax in any of these three virtues our Faith is lessened.
When our Faith slips, then doubts, misgivings, and other foul thoughts and
feelings take the place of what is good. Like a cancer this negativity grows
and grows. Unfortunately many fall prey to this tactic. Only the strong in
Faith survive. The rest rejoin the world, another unwilling victim of the god
of this world.
Faith
keeps us on the straight and narrow path. When we lose faith we begin to stray
to the left or to the right. As we know this is not a good thing.
Let’s
ask the question again. What do we do now? We use faith of course! We separate
the wheat from the chaff, we accept that the Scriptures have been altered and
we are always watchful for errors and additions. We know that the vast majority
of the Scriptures are intact and supremely valuable to helping us grow in
Yah’wehs way of Love. We also know that this being said Yah’shua is our
Redeemer and that the majority of the apostolic writings are real and valid for
us today.
Yah’weh
is one, Yah’weh is the true Savior. Yah’shua is his created and begotten son
sent to teach the true meaning of our wonderful Fathers commands. And to give
his lifes blood as a sacrifice for our sins.
