The master gardener had spent months preparing his seeds for planting. He had prepared the soil, tilling and fertilizing. Everything was ready for planting these new flowers.
With care the gardener planted the new flowers, spacing the plants and ensuring the soil properties were good for the growth of the new plants.
With eager anticipation the gardener awaits the revealing of the fruits of his labor. A few months go by and the first sprouts appear. Flowering time is near!
The plants begin flowering, many brilliant and beautiful colors spring forth. Each plant having its own unique color and fragrance. The smell from the garden is wonderful, the plants growing and blossoming beyond the master gardeners expectations. One plant in particular is even more beautiful than the rest, its flowers wonderfully pleasing to the eye.
Weeks later the gardener walks into the garden to tend to the plants. A putrid smell greets his nostrils. What in the world is that smell he thinks to himself? The smell appears to be coming from his wonderful flowers. Walking over to the plants he stoops over to smell the flowers. Some of the plants smell wonderful and other plants smell putrid. The gardener is puzzled at this discovery. The most beautiful plant in the garden seems to smell worse than the others. There doesn’t appear to be any pattern to the plants having the foul odor. The gardener makes the decision to replant some of the offensive plants in a different section of the garden, placing others in a greenhouse for study, hoping that isolating the affected plants will keep the unaffected plants from becoming diseased.
The gardener replants the flowers and keeps a close eye on the unaffected plants to ensure they are healthy. He begins work on a new type of plant that will not have the flaws that his previous plants had.
The next planting season arrives and the gardener has prepared a new plant for the garden. He places the new variety in the soil, expecting wonderful flowers to spring forth and beautify his garden. Weeks later the buds appear and a short time afterward the flowers blossom filling the garden with a pleasant fragrance and beautiful multicolored flowers.
Not long after they begin to bloom many of the new plants begin to display the same traits as the previous plants. The gardener determines that the infected plants have pollinated with the new plants and have spread the foul disease. Since some of the plants appear to be immune to the disease the gardener decides to let the new plants grow until he can determine which ones he will uproot and burn. One of the new plants has a beauty far beyond the rest of the plants. Its large plentiful flowers are aromatic and a joy to behold. The gardener prunes the plant to the roots and uses its flowers and stems to help create a fertilizer and antidote for the other plants. Amazingly only days later the plant grows back and far surpasses its original beauty, its aroma filling the air around it with a sweet smell, carrying healing in its vapors.
A transformation begins to occur in the new plants that have the immunity to the disease, the flowers have become brighter and more colorful over time, far surpassing the beauty of the previous plants. The gardener is pleased with the splendor the plants are showing.
At the end of the flowering season the gardener uproots and burns all of the infected plants. Afterward a wonderful transformation occurs in the remaining plants! They are continuously flowering, and the flowers have become even more beautiful than ever before. They are truly a sight to be seen.
The gardener is well pleased with his creations, knowing that he has grown almost perfect plants.
This Garden called Earth
The Gardener is the Eternal. His original creations, the angels are beautiful. One angel’s beauty far surpassed the beauty of all of the other angels. This angel became proud and sin entered into him. He rebelled against his Creator, taking many angels with him.
The Eternal made the decision to create mankind, not creating mankind as the angels, which were created and completed, but a little lower than the angels at their creation. Those that prove themselves worthy will be transformed into a creation greater than the angels. He is allowing mankind to prove themselves by their thoughts, feelings, and actions. We can choose to be infected by the adversary, or unaffected. We have the ability to be healed of the disease (sin), by our belief in the Eternal and His son, or we can choose to remain as we are wallowing in the mire of sin.
1Peter1:22-25
22Now that you have cleansed your lives in obeying the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another fervently with a clean heart, 23having been born again – not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible – through the living Word of Elohim, which remains forever, 24because “All flesh is as grass, and all the esteem of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, 25but the Word of Elohim remains forever.” And this is the Word, announced as Good News to you.
Isa’Yah 40:4-8
4“Let every valley be raised, and every mountain and hill made low. And the steep ground shall become level, and the rough places smooth. 5“And the esteem of YHWH shall be revealed, and all flesh together shall see it. For the mouth of YHWH has spoken.” 6The voice said, “Cry out!” and he said, “What do I cry?” “All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. 7“Grass shall wither, the flower shall fade, when the Spirit of YHWH has blown on it! Truly the people are grass! 8“Grass shall wither, the flower shall fade, but the Word of our Elohim stands forever.”
James 1:9-14
9And let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, 10but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he shall pass away. 11For the sun rose with burning heat, and withered the grass, and its flower fell, and its pretty appearance perished. So also the rich man shall fade away in his ways. 12Blessed is the man who does endure trial, for when he has been proved, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Master has promised to those who love Him. 13Let no one say when he is enticed, “I am enticed by Elohim,” for Elohim is not enticed by evil matters, and He entices no one. 14But each one is enticed when he is drawn away by his own desires and trapped.
The Almighty will prune mankind, separating those who follow His ways and keep His commands and who follow the example of Messiah Yah’shua, loving all mankind. Those who follow His ways will be made greater than the angels. Those who follow the ways of sin will be burned, and will be remembered no more.
Matthew 3
12“His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He shall thoroughly cleanse His threshing-floor, and gather His wheat into the storehouse, but the chaff He shall burn with unquenchable fire.”
May we be as the beautiful and aromatic flowers, not succumbing to the disease of sin that the adversary would rejoice in.
