Part 1 – The Sun, Moon and Stars
Preface:
Imagine that you were born during the times of our ancestors, a time before science and technology explained many of the mysteries surrounding the world. A time when the Sun was the giver of life, a time when violent storms, earthquakes, droughts, and volcanic eruptions were thought to be caused by the gods exacting vengeance upon the people for their transgressions. A time when almost everyone worshiped the gods, and mankind trusted not in his own creations and the works of their own hands. If you can imagine this, then you will understand how our ancestors thought, and why they worshiped the host of the heavens – the Sun, Moon, and Stars.
