Feed my Sheep
We were doing a study and the subject came up of the meaning of "feed my sheep".
Joh 21:15 When, therefore, they had eaten breakfast, Yah'shua said to Shimon Kĕpha, “Shimon, son of Yonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yea, Master, You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.” 16 He said to him again, the second time, “Shimon, son of Yonah, do you love Me?” He said to Him, “Yea, Master, You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Shepherd My sheep.” 17 He said to him the third time, “Shimon, son of Yonah, do you love Me?” Kĕpha was sad because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Master, You know all, You know that I love You.” Yah'shua said to him, “Feed My sheep.
I was given this message....
Mat 26:33 And Kĕpha answering, said to Him, “Even if all stumble in You, I shall never stumble.” 34 Yah'shua said to him, “Truly, I say to you that this night, before the cock crows, you shall deny Me three times.” 35 Kĕpha said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I shall not deny You!” All the taught ones said the same too.
Mat 26:69 And Kĕpha sat outside in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him, saying, “And you were with Yah'shua of Galil.” 70 But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you say.” 71 And as he was going out into the porch, another girl saw him and said to those there, “And this one was with Yah'shua of Natsareth.” 72 But again he denied with an oath, “I do not know the Man!” 73 And after a while those who stood by came to him and said to Kĕpha, “Truly you are one of them too, for even your speech gives you away.” 74 Then he began to curse and to swear, saying, “I do not know the Man!” And immediately a cock crowed. 75 And Kĕpha remembered the word of Yah'shua who had said to him, “Before a cock crows, you shall deny Me three times.” And going out, he wept bitterly.
Be strong you who follow Messiah, do not falter, do not fail. If you task yourself to do something, or are tasked to do something for the Father, carry it out.
Simone Kepha had failed previously to keep his word to Yah'shua. Yah'shua knew his weakness and proclaimed it to him.
When Yah'shua tells Simone Kepha to feed his sheep, he wants Kepha to remember back to the oath that he had previously given and remember how he had failed. Looking upon his failure, Kepha would surely be strengthened in his resolve to carry out the Masters will.
"Feed My Sheep"
Something to think about.
